The University offers training courses which provide entry-level instruction on University-wide systems. These include instruction on general navigation within the Banner system and use of the University reporting tool.

Banner Navigation: A general Banner Navigation training course is offered primarily for those who do not have experience with Banner.

Cognos Analytics: The Business Intelligence & Reporting System (BIRS) also referred to as Cognos or Cognos Analyticst, represents the University's universal reporting tool for extracting data from all Banner systems, including FMS and HRMS. 

There are two Cognos training sessions offered:  

• Cognos Analytics Introduction to Nagivation
• Reporting Data Training - Operational Data Store

Register for these courses via the Training, Seminars and Workshops link by logging into Academica.wayne.edu and selecting Employee Resources > Other Resources > Training Seminars and Workshops.
